I received very interesting package.

It is from Aquatuning.

That is great watercooling gear-thanks to Aquatuning for it!

Now onto the case itself-first tryout was not very good-seems that material is not as good as my last batch. That resulted with total of 6 ruined boards.

This is the best looking one.

This is not some big problem and solution is easy-switch from 8mm boards to 6 mm boards. That will require adjustment of 3d model to new board dimensions and while I am on it, I will also do some improvement of exterior of the case. I have some interesting ideas so stay tuned for more. ;)

Glad you got your Stuff from Aquatuning allright! I'm sorry that shipping takes a lot longer to croatia than to the other guys here in the competition - not due to the sponsors (it all went out at the same time) but sadly due to the shipping itself.

What laser are you using on that wood? It looks like it might be slightly out of focus in some of the areas - maybe due to the wavelength changes on position in x and y direction? Does your laser have a way of compensating that?

Otherwise its looking good. Looking forward to your next update!

So long :0)

No problem-I knew it would take a bit longer. :)

This is industrial grade laser cutter. Focus is not a problem-material has some weird inconsistency in thickness-especially if it is wood. Plexi was never a problem.

But still, other then changing material, laser cutter will be serviced since half of he shop is on vacation. In a meantime, I will adjut and improve case model a little bit. ;)

Well, I also like handwork and I didi a lot of work on my builds using hand tools, but laser cutter really saves my time and also it is great for repetitive holes, cut outs and engravings that is just impossible to make by hand. Lately,I am making a lot of RF card reader housings and when you receive order of 20+ pieces, you just can't make them by hand. :)

And since I allredy have that laser-cutter at my disposal, why not to use it for making great projects? ;)

Time for an update. :)

I received package from Enermax-thank you!

As I announced, I made new and final model of the case-basicaly,it remained the same with some exterior and interior redesigns for better looking and structural integrity of the case.

This is bare model for CNC usage,so there is no smothen areas and color on the case-you will see that when case is finished. ;)

Next update will contain real case parts. :

I´m sorry, but i favour your first draft.
The racks on the side are too much in my opinion.
I would keep it more plain. ;)

I was not sure should I put them or not,but front of the case really needed something to make it more agressive because when compared to the rest of the case,it is really boring.

So, as I promised to Wector-here are pictures of CNC laser cutter.

And here is todays progress. ;)

All parts for the case are sorted. Main panels had to be cut in two pieces since they were too big for cnc to cut in one piece, so I glued them.

Gluing of case stand.

Gluing of main structure. Radiator mount and bac vents were added to middle board.

Right and left main panels were added. I used some books to put some pressure for better bonding. :)

Second part of update. I don't know why did I have to wait 1 hour to post next post, but here it is.

After glue dried, I coul take proper pics of structure and continue the assembly.

More books. XD

Middle support and top parts were added.

Rest of the top and bottoms parts were glued as well as rear vents.
