Am kommenden Sonntag, 04.08.2013 um 23:59 Uhr schließt die Anmeldung zur 12. Deutschen Casemod Meisterschaft (DCMM) auf der gamescom. An dem jährlichen Treffen der Casemodding-Szene vom 24. bis 25. August kann sich jeder kostenlos anmelden, der seinen Computer, seinen DVD-Spieler, seine Konsole, den MP3-Player oder andere Geräte aus der Unterhaltungselektronik individuell umgebaut hat. Neben einer Reisekostenerstattung stellt die DCMM die gamescom-Tickets und eine Übernachtungsmöglichkeit von Samstag auf Sonntag, falls man – wie die meisten Teilnehmer – schon am Samstag anreist. Wenn man zu den Frühaufstehern gehört, ist eine Anreise auch noch am Sonntagmorgen möglich.

Eine Expertenjury bewertet die Exponate in sechs Kategorien. Dazu zählen Casemods (Case Modification), Casecons (Case Construction), CE-Mods (Consumer Electronics), die neu kreierten Unikate des 24-Stunden Livemodding-Contests und Cases, die sich selbstständig bewegen (Cases on the move). Die spektakulärste Kreation wählen die Besucher der gamescom im Rahmen der Zuschauerwahl selbst. Am Sonntagnachmittag findet die große Siegerehrung auf der gamescom-Bühne statt, bei der traditionsgemäß imposante Pokale viele stolze neue Besitzer erhalten.

From August 24th till 25th, the casemodding-community from Germany and other countries meets at the 12th International German Casemod Championship at gamescom in cologne. Every creative modder, who modified his case, his DVD-player, his console or his mp3-player individually or has constructed a new one, can register till Sunday, 4th of August, 11.59 pm for free.

All permitted participants will get a travel refund, free accommodation from Saturday to Sunday and free entry to the gamescom. An arrival on Sunday morning it possible, too.

Many categories are available: Case-Mods (Case Modification), Case-Cons (Case Construction), CE-Mods (CE-Modification), the new creations crafted during the 24h livemodding challenge and the new category: cases on the move (the more moves, the better is). The visitors of gamescom can vote for the most spectacular creation on site. The awarding ceremony takes place on Sunday at the official gamescom-stage, where many trophies will get new proud owners.
