The first is, why did you spud the steal ledge? Is that just an ornament or do you need these holes for something?

And the second question, what kind of glue do you use? Is it some kind of an "Epoxy resin"?


The steal ledge is a cover ( the black stripe, the veneer edge). That will be 5 screw.
I use the at "big" surface pattex/palmatex, elsewhere 2 component epoxi.

Don't really like the glossy varnish on the wood - I think a matte finish would look better


I don't nor like :D . My favorite the oil/wax or silk varnish. I think, the flash about bright.

The screw is too long and hard, therefore I use the rivets bottom (d= 2.5 mm, L=3 mm / the original L=6 mm)

its a pity you didnt fit the side end rivets in line withe the 5 inner ones (P1160093.JPG)
the end ones sort of dance out of line and look a bit odd.
otherwise i like it very much..
