I think you should bend one of the brass bars a little bit back, so that the case is in vertical position without this little misalignment.

The polished brass in combination with the wood looks really good. The second engraving in the brass plate looks good.

Yesterday I wanted to ask if you are going to polish the brass parts. This question has been taken care of now. Looks very nice! Like "ringo" said before, the combination of brass and the wood fits perfectly together.

Warning!!

The brass/copper after a time painted the wood! A blackish spot will be thereon. Be lacquered the copper before!

A classic steampunk compilation is the wood/copper. :D

The enemy paper is the 1. step rather 320 ( the 200 is rough) and the last step 1000/1500/2000.

This is looking really good, nice Steampunk style! Like you said before copper would fit the project slightly better than the brass but in my opinion it's fine in this way too. What are you going to do with the HDD Case it self? Just painting or also some modifications?

I'm stupid :dash:

I swap the veneer 2 side, and therefore to be short.

No problem, I cover.

Nice drill, the biggest advantage is that you never need electrical power to use it. It will be interessting to see how the cover looks like at the end and how it fits to the rest.

When I saw your veneer-gluing yesterday I was a bit sceptical but it looks very clean today. A lot cleaner than I expected.

But I have got two questions:
The first is, why did you spud the steal ledge? Is that just an ornament or do you need these holes for something?

And the second question, what kind of glue do you use? Is it some kind of an "Epoxy resin"?

Don't really like the glossy varnish on the wood - I think a matte finish would look better. I really like you progress though. If it was a race who was to finish first I'd bet on you. ;)
