A Tribute To H. R. Giger

Hi guys,
und noch ein mal ist der DCMM zu ende gegeangen und wir hatten alle wieder unsere spass beim 24 stunden modding auch.
Diesmal war ich live mit Monia Reutcher dabei da mein team mate Johannes Loew leider ausser lande war.

Mit Monia zusammen haben wir in 24 stunden ein mod gebaut namens
" A Tribute To H. R. Giger" und genau das soll es sein. Er war ein wahnsinns künstler und seine biomechanische skulpturen und bilder soweie sein omnipresente Alien kreationen waren die vorbilder. Wenn mann die Alien filme besiseite lässt und seine frührer Alien köpfe anschuat bevor Ridley Scott ihn zum ersten mal anheuerte ein Film Alien zu entwerfen sieht man das es alles eher mit bio mechanische elemente und Skulls angefangen hat.
Einer seiner bekannteste sätze war, I AM SCARED OF MY DREAMS.

einige von euch wissen es schon, es geht diesmal beim 24 std modding auch um eine gute sache.

i am basically taking a lot of toys apart and using parts of them modded into industrial elements. yes i spent a day at the local toy shops and had a ball. water pistols, deodorant and perfum bottles, brake fluid pipes, wires and you name it, we used it here.

we were accompanied by the youtube team called LANSYN, videos will be placed at the end of this thread.

as you can see, we are using old toys, water pistols, pipes, brake tubes, deo and perfume bottles, wires, drain pipe fittings, a microphone, processor frames, real tomatoe stems, female razor handles and all sorts of little colorfull things for this build. they will actually be GIGERized when paint gets n it. this time we even used worbla

slowly but surely you can see where this is going.

the alien head eye catcher is actually the little plastic skull and water pistol reservoir and a lot of putty and hot glued the veins.

i dry silvered the protruding parts to get that metal worn look.

well you can surely see where this is going now. bio mechanics as far as the eye can see

scraping paint off the eyey which are the hdd and pwr leds.

last minute touch ups before the last led wiring

the dremel trio was heavy enough to make the side panels stick well

towards the end by the 3rd last minute we had a LED wasnt working problem, so we had to ruch a bit, getting side panels on. james bond finish

hi guys, here are some better pics i made at home on a pretty much white background.
dont forget, this was all made in only 24 hours.
i will start the inside as soon as i recieve the hardware for it.
we were supported by the LANSYN youtube team who made progress videos till completion and are working on the final video right now. the links are at the end.
